Traditional Italian Style Cannoli’s, Handmade Cannoli Shells, filled with a Fresh Ricotta Filling.
It’s a success! Village Sweets made Cannoli’s this week. True to Italian tradition our Cannoli’s have a crispy shell and a delicious ricotta filling. We decorated some with pretty colorful candies and some with chopped pistachio’s…. what can we say Heaven….
Briar Roses are just beautiful. Adding them to this cake has made it an elegant and simple look. All these roses were made of gum-paste and brushed with a little edible petal dust. I also included some Stephanotis flowers for some added drama. I finished the cake with an edging of small and medium size beading. I think it turned out quite nicely. It’s been out too long and it’s mellllllltingggg… :O So annoying when the weather just does not want to co-operate!
Below is a picture of a Stargazer Lily that I just completed, which has also been fashioned with gum-paste and painted with some edible petal dust. Just thought I would add it the photos, lol.
