My first Unicorn Cake and Lego Cake…how exciting LOL!
So much fun making these orders. Unicorn cake is an all vanilla cake with Swiss meringue buttercream, chocolate cupcakes with vanilla colored frosting, and the french macarons are filled with a raspberry cream YuMbAlLs!

Birthdays and Easter all rolled in to one! Village Sweets has been making cakes with an animal theme lately (or insects haha), one trend to another… with Easter having been just around the corner, I am cheating and posting my Easter tarts as well, Oooops.
Peanut Butter Apple Pie Cookies
A new twist on an old favorite cookie. Ummm the combination sounded great to me. I have apple slices dipped in peanut butter and it tastes great, so I thought, why not a little apple pie with a little peanut butter cookie? Peanut butter? homemade apple pie? Yup! I am going to try it! I have to say, I quickly gobbled one up almost right out of the oven, oh my! Soooo good. This will definitely be a new item for Village Sweets cookie list.

Decadent Yuletide Cakes
Yuletide logs or here in Québec, “Bûche de Noël” are an absolute tradition in my family. I have made them every year now for quite some time. I am most fond of the Vanilla cake with Mocha filling and a deep Chocolate frosting. I think it’s really my favorite, especially if you like coffee. I now bake a delicious Vanilla cake with a “Tutti-Frutti” filling (cherries and peaches, yummm!) with a Vanilla-Almond frosting and delectable White-Coconut Chocolate bark, oh my I can’t wait to eat it!!

Just a reminder, the Christmas Market Show Haut Fort (Marché des Fêtes: Design et Bouffe) is 1.5 weeks away. Village Sweets (Village Sucré) will have their homebaked Fruitcakes and other Christmas goodies for purchase. Delish Devil’s Food Cake Delight
Ummmm yummy! If you are a Chocolate fanatic you will lovvvve a Delicious Old Fashioned Devil’s Food Cake. The cake is a deep chocolate, using the finest cocoa powder. It is a very moist cake and requires special handling when icing the layers. A chocolate frosting fills two layers of the cake and a wonderful raspberry reduction cream filling is in the middle layer, Surprise! Thank you for thinking of Village Sweets Bernie! Enjoy 🙂
