Making a cake can be so much fun, especially when it comes to design. Put your mind to it and you can fashion a cake to whatever shape you like. I love fresh flowers, especially from my garden. An inspiring thought came to me to create a basket of fresh flowers complete with a ribbon wrapped handle and a pretty bow. The flowers were made from Royal Icing and Gum paste. The bow and ribbon were also gum paste. I fashioned my handle with a Rice Krispie’s recipe. The cake, a delicious moist Pumpkin Spice Cake and an Ultimate Vanilla Buttercream Frosting completes my basket weave piped design.
